A virtual card is a credit-card number that is issued by an acquirer to a customer without a physical card being issued. Cards issued as virtual cards can be used on the PostFinance platform just as any regular credit card.
We check whether the given card number is a virtual card and return the result of this check in the parameter VC in your online post-sale request, in the event you use our Fraud Detection Module.
You can also ascertain whether a virtual card is being used in the transaction details in the PostFinance Backoffice.
