They can review extensions (plugins) for months, and when a new extension’s version is released, they re-review it during months too:
- It took 34 days for Magento 2 team to review just a single version of just a single shared package
- It took 40 days for Magento Marketplace team to respond on a contact form message
Maybe they will improve it in future.
Currently, it raises a problem: if a customer finds a bug in an extension, it should wait a long time for a new release.
It could be OK for other marketplaces like Apple’s AppStore with games, but Magento is about business and big money, and customer will not wait for a long time when a bug is fixed.
So currently I do not use Marketplace for my own products at all.
